Built by two tradesmen.
On the tools since 2021. We built the quoting tool we wished we had.
We’re Artur and Denis Kvasnei. We’ve been on the tools since 2021: Artur on carpentry and plumbing, Denis on decorating, drylining and framing. We wrote quotes the way every sole trader writes them, on paper, after dinner, missing things, taking the hit on the next job. So we built Pherox.
For three years we quoted the way most sole traders do. Notepad in the van, prices in our heads, a Word doc we’d been adapting for years. The Sunday at the kitchen table writing up the week’s quotes. The PDF that looked like a Word doc, because it was one.
We didn’t know quoting could be quicker. We didn’t know rates could load themselves for the postcode. We didn’t know a PDF could come out clean without us building it line by line in Word. We thought taking the hit on the missed bits was the job.
Then we built one that does. A tool that works between jobs, on a phone, with a gloved hand. A tool that sends a finished quote before you leave the customer’s drive. A tool built to quote a paint job in around twelve minutes.
Pherox is built by Myrmex Group, a Central London residential renovation firm. Same people, two operations: Myrmex builds the houses, Pherox builds the tools the trades on those jobs use. More at myrmexgroup.co.uk.
